November has been marked with new animal babies appearing all over the reserve. The Eastern Cape bush is also full of new life after the wonderful spring rains. Kariega Game Reserve is excited to be hosting its first Art on Safari from 28 August to 1 September 2015. The event is organised by Africa Geograhic and lead by artist Alison Nicholls

Over the past two years former NBA basketball star Yao Ming and various film crews have visited Kariega Game Reserve to meet rhino Thandi and put together a documentary to help end trade of illegal ivory and rhino horn. This documentary, Saving Africa’s Giants with Yao Ming, will premiere on Tuesday, November 18 at 10 PM ET/PT (US) and Friday, November 21 at 9PM (UK) on Animal Planet.
