The Kariega Game Reserve elephant matriarchy is a gentle group that is calm and tolerant of game drive vehicles. Guests can experience the intricacies of the herd from an arms-length away and when the time is right, as in this guest video, safari groups can view very young calves without fear of upsetting mothers, aunts and grandmothers.

In this video taken by Kariega guest Clem Evans, one can see just how close the safari vehicle gets to the herd. Thank you to Clem for sharing with us. We hope you enjoy and please feel free to share your special Kariega elephant moments with us on our Facebook wall
