Farmerfield Clean-up and Game Drive
Recent conservation volunteers at Kariega Game Reserve really did their bit by helping a local, rural school with a clean-up day. Volunteers got stuck in laying out new flower beds, fixing fences and painting. Thank you Kariega volunteers and staff – everyone at Farmerfield School really appreciates your help.
Other news is that the Kariega Foundation sponsored a game drive and lunch for the Grade 9 Farmerfield learners. For most of the children, this was their first experience on a Big 5 game reserve and viewing animals like rhino and giraffe for the first time in their lives was an amazing moment. Our conservation volunteers on Kariega also got involved and shared their knowledge about wildlife with the children whilst on the game viewer vehicle. A very rewarding day for all involved!
