Wilmie is passionate about all creatures, big and small! Mother Nature has stories to tell and she is there to listen to them. Wilmie grew up in the town of Bloemfontein in the Free State province of South Africa. She says, "Bloemfontein is a lovely city but the bush is where I feel at home." Wilmie is always full of energy and is great with children of all ages. Her playful nature keeps kids and adults alike engaged on safari drives.  When she has some spare time, Wilmie loves to spend time doing crafts such as painting, making dream catchers or learning how to do a new type of craft. She also has a keen interest in photography and reading.

Waking up to a beautiful bush sunrise, taking a breath of fresh wild air and seeing rare things like an amazing butterfly or aardvark are only some of Wilmie's favourite things in the bush. Wilmie also loves to meet safari guests from all over the world. She enjoys learning about the different cultures and countries.

Favourite Animal

This is a difficult question for Wilmie to answer as she loves all animals, great and small. She is quite fond of the cat species.

Most Memorable Sighting

This has to be when three lions were hunting some zebras. Wilmie and her guests were watching the lions stalking the herd of zebras when all of a sudden the one of the lionesses made her way into the bush. The male lion followed her a few minutes later. When Wilmie repositioned her vehicle she saw the zebras running full speed and right behind them were the lioness! When the dust settled, to Wilmie and her guests' surprise, the lioness had already taken down a zebra. This was a very exciting game drive indeed!
